Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Sanjana (the “Developer,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information in connection with Ray (the “App”) and related websites.

Ray is a premium iOS app for reflection, journaling, gratitude, mindfulness, and personal growth. It is provided for informational and personal use. It is not a medical, diagnostic, or therapeutic service.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the App. Categories may include:

• Account and sign-in information. If you create or use a Ray account, we may receive identifiers and profile details from your sign-in provider (for example Sign in with Apple, and if offered, Google). We do not receive your Apple ID or Google password.
• Contact information. If you email us, we collect the address and the contents of your message so we can respond.
• Journaling and reflection content. Entries, prompt responses, gratitude notes, journey progress, and similar material you write or select in the App.
• Device and app information. Technical data needed to operate and improve Ray, such as device type, iOS version, app version, language, and diagnostic logs.
• Purchase and subscription information. If you buy Ray through the Apple App Store, Apple processes the payment. We may receive limited information about your subscription or purchase status (for example, whether access is active) without receiving your full payment card details.

3. Journal and Reflection Content

Your writing in Ray is private by default. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it as marketing copy.

Depending on the version of the App and the features you use, this content may be stored on your device, in an account-backed store, or both. Device backups you make through Apple (for example iCloud backups) are governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

We do not use the full text of your journal entries, gratitude notes, or other reflective writing to train public AI models, or to advertise to you based on what you wrote. If that practice ever changed, we would update this policy clearly.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App — for example, to show you your entries, remember journey progress, restore purchases, and fix bugs.
• Associate subscription access with your account, when you are signed in, so we can restore premium features across sessions and devices.
• Communicate with you about the App, including service-related notices. Marketing messages, if any, will be optional and stoppable.
• Comply with law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the safety and rights of users and of the Developer.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how Ray is used in general. We will not use that as a way to reconstruct your private writing.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as needed to operate the App, including with:

• Apple, which distributes the App and processes App Store purchases, subscriptions, trials, and refunds.
• Sign-in providers you choose (such as Apple, and if offered, Google), for authentication.
• Infrastructure and SDK providers that help us host data, manage subscriptions, report crashes, or understand product usage. They are expected to process information on our instructions and only for these purposes.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or transfer of the App, in which case this policy would continue to apply or you would be notified of a change.

We are not responsible for third-party services you choose on your own (for example, if you copy text into another app).

6. Apple App Store and Payments

Ray is distributed through the Apple App Store. Purchases, subscriptions, free trials, refunds, and family sharing are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

We do not receive your Apple ID password or your full payment card number from Apple in the ordinary course of a store purchase. We cannot cancel an App Store subscription on Apple’s behalf — you manage or cancel it in your Apple ID Account Settings.

7. Analytics and Diagnostics

We may use diagnostics and product analytics to understand, in general terms, whether Ray is working: which screens are used, where the App crashes, and whether a feature is discoverable.

Analytics should not include the full text of your journal entries, gratitude notes, or other reflective writing. If an event cannot be described without quoting your private content, it should not be sent.

You may have device-level or Apple privacy settings that limit tracking or analytics. We honor those settings where the platform makes them available to the App.

8. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

• Account information is kept while the account is active, and for a limited period afterward as needed to restore access, prevent abuse, or meet legal duties.
• Journal and reflection content is kept until you delete it or delete your account, subject to residual copies in backups that expire on a rolling basis.
• Support correspondence is kept as long as needed to resolve your request and for a limited period afterward.
• Diagnostic logs are kept for a short operational window.

9. Your Choices and Deletion

You may delete individual entries or other in-app content using the controls in Ray, to the extent those controls exist in the version you are using.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting igniteproductions.official@gmail.com. We will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify that information, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons. Some requests may need to be completed through Apple or your sign-in provider.

Deletion is not always instantaneous. Copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited time until those backups cycle out.

If your content is stored only on your device, deleting the App or resetting the device may delete it. We cannot recover local-only content we never received.

10. Children’s Privacy

Ray is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact igniteproductions.official@gmail.com. We will take steps to delete the information as required.

11. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You also play a part: use a device passcode, keep iOS updated, and do not share your device or account with people who should not see your reflections.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date and version at the top will change when we do.

If a change is material — for example, a new way of using journal content, a new category of collection, or a new party with access to personal writing — we will provide a more prominent notice where we have a way to reach you.

Continued use of the App after an update means you are using Ray under the revised policy. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App and request deletion as described above.
